Fosters

Me: I'd rather drink water but obviously some of my friends like it.
The Net says: The un-Australian Australian lager. Sexist beer ads: why it's time for a cold, hard rethink. Sexist adverts put women off beer says Foster's boss: Chief says it is time to move on from campaigns that are 'insulting'. The Sun: "All you need to know about this terrible Australian beer is that they don’t even drink it in Australia. Even Australians have better taste than that. Best drank with a BBQ because then you'll have somthing to take the taste away."
Type: American Adjunct Lager 5% ABV
Flavour: The aroma has a tiny bit of malt, with nothing fancy there. The taste is mostly the same – some maltiness and a tiny bit of hops, but mostly a clean thin-flavoured nothingness, until a slight, short bitterness at the end.
Fact: Fosters biggest market is the UK, where the European rights to the brand are owned by Heineken International. Foster's is unpopular and relatively rare in Australia.
