I was inspired to create this artwork an old garage door that had layers of peeling paint that revealed a mulitude of colours. I first started the work as a 2d painting but it developed into a 3d work. I used a variety of materials for this including; metal honeycomb [originally designed for racing cars], metal shavings, oil, dye and plastic.
